We have added new business features to Planifica's optimization workflow to help schools create timetables that are not only conflict-free, but also easier to live with day to day.
One important addition is the new same-subject gap constraint. Planning teams can now define a minimum gap between sessions of the same subject, helping avoid schedules where the same class receives repeated sessions too close together.
This supports better weekly balance, especially for subjects that should be distributed across several days instead of concentrated in one block.
Alongside these scheduling improvements, Planifica Transport is now available in beta. The new transport area helps schools organize students, vehicles, trips, route maps, and transport communication from one place.
Transport is still being refined, and we are using the beta phase to improve the experience with real school feedback. Schools interested in testing the module can contact the Planifica team and explore how transport planning can work together with the wider school planning workflow.
